Phillipsburg Middle School Media Center

 

The focus of the library media curriculum is to provide students with information management skills that will enable students to locate, interpret, analyze, synthesize, evaluate and utilize data from a variety of resources. Information management skills are introduced, reviewed, and/or reinforced in conjunction with classroom teachers as appropriate for resource-based teaching in all curriculum areas. Special emphasis is placed on the student’s ability to evaluate and select appropriate information resources. Appreciation and understanding of literature and libraries for lifelong learning is also encouraged.
